Sound of the Natural State

For over 95 years, The Sound of the Natural State has played a vital role in the campus experience at A-State. Known for their vibrant performances and unparalleled musicianship, this talented group of over 180 students represents the pride and spirit of Red Wolves Nation.

Practice & Performance

The SOUND performs at all home football games, occasional away games, and all bowl games. They also host the A-State Open, a marching festival for high schools. We rehearse Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3 - 5 p.m. Drumline and Color Guard also have an additional 1-hour sectional per week. Each wind section has occasional sectionals throughout the season organized by student leadership.

The SOUND & A-State Bands program has an excellent scholarship program available to students of all degree programs. If you are interested in a scholarship, contact Dr. Allegra Fisher.
