Howlers Pep Band
The Howlers Pep Band is a high-energy pep band that supports Arkansas State basketball
and volleyball, adding excitement and school spirit to every game.
How to Join
Marching band members can indicate their interest in the Howlers during band camp
placement. Students not enrolled in marching band are also welcome and should contact
band staff to arrange an audition.
Performances
The Howlers Pep Band performs at men’s and women’s home games and is divided into
Red and Silver bands, allowing students to perform at approximately 15 games per season,
with additional performances possible.
Attire
Participants receive an official Howlers shirt and are responsible for providing black
pants and neutral, closed-toed shoes.
Scholarships
Students are eligible for scholarship compensation at the conclusion of the season,
with performances typically earning $35–$45 per game. Awards are subject to university
financial aid regulations.
Travel
The Howlers Pep Band may travel in support of Arkansas State Athletics, including
potential appearances at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and NCAA Tournament.
