Lakeport Plantation Museum’s First Mississippi River Symposium

October 9, 2026 | 9:00 am – 5:30 p.m.

Join us for a day of talks about the Mighty Mississippi with topics ranging from Indigenous Mounds along the Mississippi to folklore.

To end the day, we will have hear tales from Lee Hendrix from his book “Peep Light.”

Lee will have his book available for sale and for signing after his talk.

Registration

Lunch will be from 12:00 – 1:30 on your own. Lakeport Plantation Museum is located between Lake Village, AR and Greenville, MS that host a variety of local establishments for lunch.

This event is free, but registration is highly recommended to guarantee a seat.
