Dr. Jim McGinnis has been in academia for approximately 20 years along with many years of experience in the corporate field. Dr. McGinnis has been on the front line of Information Technology in the corporate field while also serving as an IT Engineer, IT Manager, IT Security Manager, and IT Department Director, and has extensive experience in Security, Security Policies, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, and Training. With certifications achieved by ISACA (Certified Information Systems Manager), Microsoft (Server and Workstation Administrator), Novell, Inc. (Certified Network Engineer), Cisco NetAcademy for the Cisco CCNA series Instructor, and CCNA Cybersecurity, he has extensive training and experience in the field of Information Technology/Systems and Cybersecurity.
