A-State Innovate
A-State Innovate is an entrepreneur’s ecosystem led by the Delta Center for Economic Development (DCED). It is an outreach organization of the institution that was established to support and coordinate economic development initiatives throughout the state and greater Delta region.
By integrating innovation, support for start-ups, technology transfer, and a portfolio of partnerships with businesses and communities, A-State Innovate offers opportunities for entrepreneurs interested in connecting to business resources and helps bring ideas to the marketplace.
Thrown to the Wolves
Thrown to the Wolves is a student-focused entrepreneurship competition hosted by Arkansas State University’s Delta Center for Economic Development. Inspired by Shark Tank, the program gives participants the opportunity to pitch innovative product or service ideas while gaining real-world experience in entrepreneurship.
Participants work with dedicated mentors to refine their ideas, build confidence, and develop presentation skills. Teams present their concepts to a panel of judges and compete for prizes that may include scholarships, funding support, and access to innovation resources at Arkansas State University.
Thrown to the Wolves encourages creativity, problem-solving, and early exposure to business development, helping students take meaningful steps toward innovation and entrepreneurship.
Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC)
The ASBTDC at Arkansas State University provides one-to-one consulting and support specifically for entrepreneurs, startups, and small business innovators. Through confidential guidance, the center helps participants develop business plans, analyze finances, conduct market research, and create strategies for growth and profitability.
In addition to consulting, ASBTDC offers workshops, seminars, and resources tailored to new ventures and innovative business ideas. By connecting entrepreneurs with expert guidance and practical tools, ASBTDC helps transform ideas into successful, sustainable businesses.
