The Theatre Guild supports the Department of Theatre’s mission to provide cultural leadership to the northeast Arkansas region.
The Theatre Guild comprises alums, community members, theatre practitioners, and other notable people who all support the performing arts here at A-State. This diverse and eclectic group knows the value and importance of the performing arts within our society. Their knowledge, insight, and financial support generously help the A-State Theatre Department and Student Success. A-State Theater would not be what it is today without the generous support of the Theater Guild.
Membership Benefits
Every member will receive acknowledgment in each production program as well as opportunities to purchase season tickets at a discount. In addition, guild members are invited to attend special events, talkbacks, and receptions at A-State Theater.
How does the Theatre Guild help?
You already know the tremendous impact A-State Theatre can have on a student’s life and the life of our community. That impact is made possible by the support of private gifts.
Outreach
Guild membership supports community outreach programs like Play@State. Through the Play@State program, the Department of Theatre offers educational discount tickets to secondary education in and around our area, enabling local students to attend an A-State Theatre production at a substantially lower cost.
Productions
Many audience members don’t realize that ticket sales only cover a fraction of A-State Theatre’s production costs. We need your help to ensure that A-State Theatre can continue offering extraordinary arts programming for our community. Your generosity allows A-State theatre to bring more extensive productions, socially poignant dramas, and dynamic externals to the stage.
Scholarships
The Theatre Guild Scholarship, established in 2018, is awarded annually to an outstanding student showing potential for a theatre or theatre education career. There is no greater reward than helping future artists achieve their training and education without going into financial debt to pursue their passion. Your help makes that possible!
Exclusive Access
Guild members are invited to attend special events, receptions, talkbacks with the artist(s), meet and greets, and workshops.
How to Join:
Membership in the Theatre Guild is only $100 per member. Theatre Guild members are acknowledged in production programs as “Members.” You may choose a one-time payment that can be renewed annually or make monthly payments that will automatically renew until you decide to cancel.
