Biography

Richard Lisenby is a versatile singer and actor with a deep passion for both musical theatre and classical vocal styles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Montevallo and a Master of Music in Opera/Musical Theatre from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Voice Performance at the University of Memphis, with a concentration in vocology. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, Richard performed extensively in Off-Broadway and regional productions and held teaching appointments at Samford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As an educator, Richard is dedicated to helping students develop healthy vocal techniques, broaden their expressive and stylistic range, and discover the unique qualities and colors of their individual voices.
