She has been teaching in an adjunct capacity for the School of Media & Journalism since last century too.

Marshall brings leadership experience from her eight-year tenure as Associate Director of Admissions at Arkansas State University, training and managing the staff of admissions counselors, and spearheading the institution’s admissions strategies. During her tenure in the Admissions Office, enrollment increased every year, and the recruitment staff grew to more than 20.
While at the Admissions office, Mrs. Marshall also served as the coordinator of Admissions marketing. Working within the university’s style and branding guidelines, Marshall conceptualized, wrote, and edited every project within a comprehensive communications plan containing more than 120 printed pieces and a robust social media presence. The communications plan included targeted messages for ninth graders through seniors, as well as high school counselors and parents.
Marshall’s entrepreneurial background includes more than a decade as Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Niche Publications & Creative, where she mentored diverse creative teams of writers, designers, and photographers. She oversaw content development for multiple regional magazines, including a community showcase, two parenting publications, the Chamber of Commerce Leader, a biannual bridal magazine, and even an annual holiday publication.
With a Master’s degree in Service Journalism from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Arkansas State University, Marshall combines strong educational foundations with practical expertise in writing, graphic design, and digital marketing. Her unique blend of traditional publishing experience and cutting-edge AI interests positions her at the intersection of established media practices and emerging digital technologies.
