I started out my career by earning my Bachelor's of Arts in Criminology and Sociology in 2009. After working several years in Mental Health with nurses, I discovered that nursing was my calling. In 2012, I graduated from Arkansas Northeastern College with an Associates in Applied Science in Nursing (AASN). I worked as an ICU/Cardiovascular Nurse at a Jonesboro hospital after passing my certification exam. In late 2013, I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Arkansas State University. In 2014, I began coursework for the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University, graduating with a Masters in Nursing (MSN) degree December 2016. While awaiting my national certification exam, I began working with Arkansas State University School of Nursing as an adjunct clinical instructor, and realized an interest in nursing education. In Fall 2017, I accepted an Assistant Professor of Nursing position.
