I earned by BSN from Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, TN in December 2008. I moved to Jonesboro, AR and began working in labor and delivery. I decided that I wanted to pursue my nursing career further and began working towards my FNP at University of Southern Indiana. While in the program, I was able to serve as an adjunct clinical faculty for ASTATE and realized my true passion was education. I changed my degree from FNP to nursing education and graduated with my MSN July 2013. I began working full time at ASTATE August 2013 as an assistant professor of nursing. After some time away from school, I decided to go back to pursue my doctorate. In fall 2016, I began my doctoral journey at Teachers College Columbia University pursing my Doctorate of Education, in nursing education. I anticipate to graduate Spring 2021.
