Biography
DayDay is a graduate of the Texas Tech University’s Performance & Pedagogy program. She has received awards for excellence in directing from KC/ACTF and received an award for playwriting from the Humanities Conferences in Texas. She was accepted as Directing Fellow for Arena Stage in DC. DayDay has a strong background in behavior analysis and disabilities studies. She has traveled the country (Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas and New Jersey and Tennessee) leading theatre workshops for at risk youth and individuals with disability. DayDay’s interests include theatre of disabilities, theatre for social change, African American female playwrights, devised theatre and theatre for and about the community. She will be teaching Fundamentals of Playwriting, Acting I, Fine Arts Theatre, and Creative improv.
