General Studies

The Bachelor of General Studies is a multidisciplinary degree that helps you build practical skills and knowledge for today’s job market. You create your own course of study by choosing two concentrations from majors or minors across A-State. An example of these concentration pairs could be psychology and biology, or physical education and marketing. With this degree, the options are limitless!

Connect

Students interested in the Bachelor of General Studies are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor in the Department of Nontraditional Studies to explore their goals and plan their concentrations. Advisors help students select fitting coursework and officially declare the General Studies major. New freshman and transfer students may also declare General Studies as their primary major upon admission.
