Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports

PBIS is a school-wide framework—not a curriculum—that helps educators organize evidence‑based strategies to support positive behavior for every student. Through a multi‑tiered system, all students receive universal Tier 1 supports, with additional Tier 2 and Tier 3 options for those who need more targeted or individualized help. By teaching and reinforcing 3–5 clear behavior expectations across all settings, schools create safer, more predictable environments where relationships and academic engagement can grow. PBIS works because it prevents problems before they start and promotes a proactive, positive approach to discipline that benefits the entire school community.\

Implementation Resources

Resources for your classrooms
Be prepared with the resources you need to effectively implement PBIS in your classroom.
Build Your School-wide PBIS Foundation
Our Tier 1 sessions help leadership teams launch effective, school-wide PBIS systems.
Targeted Supports for Students Who Need More

Tier 2 training helps teams design and implement targeted interventions for students who require additional support beyond Tier I. Schools learn the foundational systems of Tier II, team structures, student identification processes, and effective intervention strategies.

Intensive, Individualized Interventions

Tier 3 training supports teams in developing systems for individualized, wraparound interventions for students with the most intensive behavioral needs.

“If a child doesn’t know how to read, we teach. If a child doesn’t know how to swim, we teach. If a child doesn’t know how to multiply, we teach. If a child doesn’t know how to drive, we teach. If a child doesn’t know how to behave, we… …teach? …punish? Why can’t we finish the last sentence as automatically as we do the others?”
