Dr. Sarah Hooper
Associate Dean for Admissions, Students, and Research
Biography
In Spring 2025, Dr. Sarah Hooper joined Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine as Associate Dean for Admissions, Students, and Research. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Georgia before receiving a National Institutes of Health (NIH) T-32 training grant through the Comparative Medicine Program at the University of Missouri, where she completed a residency and PhD. Her research collaborations led to a Research Fellowship with the U.S. Forest Service Northern Research Station, where she focused on ecophysiology, integrating bat physiological responses and population dynamics into assessments of forest management practices and landscape health. In 2020, Dr. Hooper joined Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) as an Assistant Professor. She quickly took on leadership roles including serving as Director of RUSVM’s Research Center for Veterinary Education, Diversity, and Data Analytics. She was promoted to Associate Professor and is recognized as a leader in veterinary education and veterinary data analytics. Her research explores the intersection of machine learning, artificial intelligence, clinical medicine, and veterinary education, driving innovation in student success and curriculum development.
