Event Description
The FYE Academic Expo is a showcase of first-year students research, philanthropy, and creativity and connections to the University. Projects generally focus on degree-specific exploration, and hands-on learning.
This year, our Expo is in-person! We encourage you to explore the class projects below from Fall 22 to see all of the hard work that our first year students did last year (it may inspire your project for Fall 23)!

Philanthropy: Students develop and execute a service project for the campus or surrounding community |
Connections: Students develop and execute a project or performance that helps to connect them to their major or a campus resource |
Research: Students develop and execute a research-based project in their major field of study |
Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be offered in each category. There will also be s single best-of-show award.

How to Participate/Important Dates
Prior to Oct. 31, faculty should confirm their classes participation including their category of choice (i.e. philanthropy, connections, or research), and request any additional supplies needed (first come, first served).
