Biography

DayDay's artistic endeavors are inherently interdisciplinary. She has a strong background in Theatre,  sociology, phycology and disabilities studies. DayDay has received awards for excellence in directing from KC/ACTF and received an award for playwriting from the Humanities Conferences in Texas. In 2020  DayDay was accepted as Directing Fellow for Arena Stage in DC. She has traveled the country leading theatre workshops for at risk youth and individuals with disability. DayDay's interests include Theatre of disabilities, Theatre for social change, African American female playwrights, devised Theatre and Theatre for and about the community. When not teaching, DayDay, adjudicates student works at local and national theatre festivals.
