String Scholarships
Incoming and current students are eligible for numerous scholarships specifically for those majoring in string instruments. Look below at the various offerings for string majors.

Ann and Albert Swaty Strings Scholarship
An annual award of $500 awarded in the fall semester is available. To qualify for this scholarship students must be full-time or incoming full-time students at A-State, participate in A-State Orchestra and take string lessons from A-State faculty, and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Aileen Matthews String Scholarship Fund
In 1996 a scholarship program was established to assist string students in the orchestra. The program is funded by donations to the Aileen Matthews String Scholarship Fund. Scholarship money is available to both music majors and students majoring in other fields. Students are eligible by audition and must participate in orchestra as well as enroll in private lessons.
