Program Mission

The mission of the Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health Program is to provide a comprehensive and quality education to students wishing to become occupational safety or environmental health professionals for private industries, governing agencies, hospitals, or research facilities and to train students to anticipate, identify, and evaluate workplace and environmental health hazards.

What kinds of careers will be open with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health?

Many career options are opened with this degree including, but not limited to occupational safety specialists, environmental health specialists, food safety professionals, industrial hygienists, toxicologists, and hazardous waste specialists. Also, many occupational and environmental safety and health credentialing agencies are now requiring a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
