Admission Criteria
If you are an international student who is seeking entrance into the English as a
Second Language program, the ESL application is the right application for you. We
offer a wide variety of options for you to choose from.
1.) Studying ESL only and earning no degree.
2.) Studying ESL + Undergraduate for students who have graduated from high school/secondary
school work but have no post-secondary/university/college work; students who have
some post-secondary work but no degree; or students who have a post-secondary degree.
If you are one of these, you will apply to take ESL first then upon completion of
ESL, enroll directly in an undergraduate degree.
3.) Studying ESL + Graduate for students who have completed at least a Bachelor’s
degree and are applying for a master’s or doctoral degree. If this is you, you will
apply to take ESL first then upon completion of ESL, enroll directly in a graduate
degree.
Student Testimonial
I am from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (D.R.C). I chose A-State for its reputation
for providing the student with a competent study environment and the experience that
A-State gives us to prepare us for corporate life. I am hoping to learn English that
allows me to study and communicate with English-speaking people and for my education.
In my opinion the best part was the speaking and listening class with its presentations,
readings, and other activities. I highly recommend A-State for the education it provides,
professional experience, university hospitality, and the knowledgeable faculty found
at this one of the best universities.
