How to Apply

Applying to A-State as an international graduate student is simple. Follow the steps below to start your application and submit your required documents. Reach out if you need help.

Graduate Program Admission Requirements

All international graduate applicants must have earned a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Some programs require a higher GPA. If you've taken graduate-level coursework before, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the graduate level.

After You Apply

After submitting your application and documents, we’ll review everything and guide you through the next steps, leading up to arrival and orientation.

Program-Level Review

Once all required documents are submitted, your academic program’s admissions committee will review your application. They evaluate how your background, goals, and qualifications align with the program.

Graduate School Decision

After the academic program makes its decision, Graduate Admissions completes a final review. You’ll receive an official Notice of Admission Decision via email unless notified directly by the department.

Once admitted, you'll be assigned an international graduate advisor to help you complete your visa paperwork, get health insurance, and prepare for your arrival. They’ll also help you plan and register for classes.
