Years of research and planning will culminate on Monday, April 8, when a total solar eclipse will be seen across parts of the state.

The Arkansas Roots Music Festival is coming to the Historic Dyess Colony: Johnny Cash Boyhood Home in Dyess, starting at noon Saturday, April 6, presented by KASU radio and Arkansas State University Heritage Sites.

The 46th annual Convocation of Scholars at Arkansas State University will highlight events recognizing outstanding students and faculty. This month-long celebration calls attention to those achievements.

Those seeking a fun spot to observe the April 8 solar eclipse have many options. The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (HPMEC), an Arkansas State University Heritage Site, will host a series of events to celebrate the eclipse.

A spring fundraiser will be held by KASU 91.9 FM, the radio station broadcasting from the campus of Arkansas State University, Wednesday through Friday, March 27-29.  

A $10 million congressional appropriation led by U.S. Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark., will advance plans for the Arkansas State University Center for Advanced Materials and Steel Manufacturing to support the largest steel producing region in the country.

The theme of the annual Delta Symposium at Arkansas State University, set for April 4-6, is “Talking about the Weather.”
