The Chancellor’s Office leads Arkansas State University’s strategic direction and
daily operations. Focused on student success, academic excellence and community engagement,
the office works with campus leaders to move A-State forward.
The Leader of the Pack
An academic administrator, a nationally known scholar, and an unabashed champion for
students, staff and faculty, Dr. Todd Shields was named the fourth appointed chancellor and the 14th individual to lead Arkansas
State University in 2022.

Chancellor Todd Shields presents the 2025 Wilson Award to Amber Yates. The Wilson
Award is the highest student award given at A-State.
