Preparing Tests for Scoring
- To submit tests for scoring, please place student response documents, answer key, and Test Scoring Cover Sheet in a manila envelope. Please seal the manila envelope.
- The Test Scoring Cover Sheet is very important and you must complete this form in its entirety so that the scanner can provide you with the reports you request.
- The Test Scoring Cover Sheet is available in the Testing Center and can be downloaded at the link below.
- Detailed step-by-step directions on how to fill out the test scoring form are found on the back of the Test Scoring Cover Sheet.
- If you have tests for different sections, please separate them by section.
- Be sure that students have filled in proper ID bubbles and test version if there are 2 or more key versions. The ID number must remain consistent to the student throughout the semester. The ID number for all students must be the 8 digit A-State ID number. ID numbers must be "bubbled in" on every exam throughout the semester.
- Be sure that bubbles are filled in dark and completely and that ONLY pencils are used (felt markers and ink pens cannot be read by the scanner).
Score Reports
- All reports can be sent electronically to the instructor of record in a combined Adobe portable document file (PDF) if indicated on the Test Scoring Cover Sheet.
- If electronic score reports are requested, all reports will be sent through a secure file sharing system called "ShareSpace" where the instructor will have 48 hours to download the reports.
- Notification of electronic files ready for downloading will be sent to University email addresses only.
- Scored exams and reports will be returned in a sealed envelope.
- A University employee working on the behalf of the instructor of record can serve as a courier. Couriers must present their A-State ID when dropping off and picking up exams and score reports. The following are examples of approved couriers:
- Administrative assistants
- Graduate assistants
- Undergraduate student workers
- Faculty colleagues
