Professional Advisors

A-State has a team of professional advisors here to help you choose classes, plan your degree path, and explore career options. Most students meet their advisor for the first time before or during New Student Orientation.

Checking in with Your Advisor

As you register each semester, your professional advisor is available to talk about your course plans, review your financial aid requirements, and help with anything that might affect your progress. Only incoming first-year students are required to meet with an advisor prior to class registration.

Schedule an Advising Session by Your College

If you're not sure who your advisor is, you can find them under the college of your major.

Haven’t picked a major yet? You’ll work with the University Advising Center. Just look under Exploratory Majors to find your go-to contact.
