Identify relevant funding opportunities matched to your research interests

The pre-award team consists of two dedicated proposal coordinators and an executive director for research development. Each coordinator is assigned to specific units to learn more about you and your research and find relevant opportunities to support the growth of your programs.

Visualize your proposal submission goal posts

Sometimes it can be difficult to understand how to prioritize various funding opportunities and how they fit into your regular teaching schedule. Our pre-award team is happy to sit down with you and outline a realistic plan for applying to the opportunities that excite you. Our goal is to make this process less daunting and to show our support. Our pre-award team is here for you every step of the way.

Liaise with funding agencies

If you have a question about a particular funding opportunity or would like support connecting with a program officer to ensure alignment with your research, our pre-award team can connect you with the right folks to move your research forward. Support the development of your proposal documents

Not sure how to build a budget? Or how to adequately describe facilities and other resources available to your project? No problem! Our pre-award team is well versed in these requirements and is here to help. We can build a budget from scratch or revise a document you’ve already started. Wherever you’re at in the process, our team is here to meet you where you are and ensure you put your best foot forward for submission.

Ensure compliance with proposal requirements and submit!

Our pre-award team is here to tie the bow on your proposal package and send it off for review. Our experienced proposal coordinators will conduct a thorough review of your documents and compare them to the program requirements. We will ensure that what’s submitted is in line with the expectations of the funding agency. Once we hit ‘submit,’ pat yourself on the back. Give yourself (or us) a high-five. We did it.
