Three Creative Media Production Students Win American Advertising Awards

JONESBORO – Three students from Arkansas State University’s Creative Media Production program scored gold and silver awards at the American Advertising Awards held last week at Cooper Alumni Center.

"We are excited and proud to see our students recognized for their creativity by media professionals," said Dr. Mary Jackson Pitts, creative media production program director.

Colby Thompson of Conway won gold in the Film, Video, and Sound/Television Advertising category for his ESR Geo Wallet Commercial.

Kayla Lindsey of Ozark, Mo., won silver in the Film, Video, and Sound/Television Advertising Category for her creative media production Promo commercial.Hannah Rainwater of Jonesboro won silver in the Film, Video, and Sound/Television Advertising Category for her A-State Food Pantry promotion. “The awards highlight our program’s effort toward preparing students for success in the creative media industry,” added Pitts.

The American Advertising Federation of Northeast Arkansas (AAFNEA), a local chapter of the national American Advertising Federation, hosted the awards ceremony.The American Advertising Federation protects and promotes the well-being of advertising through a unique, nationally coordinated grassroots network of advertisers, agencies, media companies, local advertising clubs and college chapters. The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry.
