Sympathy Extended to Family and Former Colleagues of Perry Isbell

JONESBORO – The university community extends sympathy to the family, friends and former colleagues of Perry Isbell of Jonesboro, emeritus assistant professor of technology, who died Sunday.

An alumnus of Arkansas State University, Isbell worked several years as a design engineer for International Harvester then operated Craft Elevator in Memphis before joining A-State’s engineering department faculty in 1983. 

His specialties were agricultural engineering, manufacturing engineering, and product design. Isbell taught at A-State for 22 years, retiring in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, three children, and their families. More information is in the obituary.

The clock tower of the Dean B. Ellis Library will be lighted scarlet Thursday evening, Oct. 5, in memorial tribute to Isbell’s service and contributions to higher education and Arkansas State University.
