Retiring Staff Members and Those Achieving Years of Service Milestones Honored
JONESBORO – The five retiring staff members and 89 individuals who have attained service milestones were honored during the 32nd annual Distinguished Performance Awards and Service Recognition Ceremony at Arkansas State University. The program is conducted annually by Staff Senate.
Retirees:
Five individuals have retired or will retire during the 2024-25 academic year. They have 82 combined years of service to A-State. The employees and the area from which they retired are:
23 years -- Michele McGinnis, Humanities and Social Sciences; 19 years -- Harvey Lee, Information Technology Services; 18 years -- Helen Diane Lee, Childhood Services; 15 years -- Robert Coggins, Zone Maintenance; 7 years -- Van Provence, University Communications.
Service Milestones:
The 89 staff members recognized for attaining service milestones were as follows:
40 years:
Tom Moore, Director of University Communications.
35 years:
Tim Smith, Institutional Services; Mark Smith, KASU Station Manager; and James Upton, Institutional Services.
30 years:
Brian Richardson, Computer Support Specialist.
25 years:
Angela Daniels, Director of Admissions Processing; Floyd Cozart, Institutional Printer; Haley Stout, Assistant Director and Box Office Manager of First National Bank Arena; Heath Kelly, Assistant Director of Publications and Creative Services; Myra Goodwin, Associate Chief Financial Officer; and Len Frey, Senior Associate Dean and Senior Adviser for Strategic Initiatives.
20 years:
