New Appointments Coming to Griffin College of Business
JONESBORO – New leadership is coming to Neil Griffin College of Business (NGCoB) at Arkansas State University.
Dr. H. Steve Leslie will join the Griffin College leadership team as associate dean of faculty affairs, effective July 1.
Dean Jim Washam says Leslie’s work will focus on enhancing the student experience through faculty development.
“I’m excited about this new position in the college and thrilled that Steve has agreed to take on this important role. This includes identifying and coordinating professional development opportunities for our faculty, supporting individual faculty members with specific challenges, and monitoring our faculty performance metrics for AACSB accreditation. I’m confident that Steve’s energy, insight, and collaborative spirit will make a meaningful impact,” said Dr. Washam.
Dr. Matt Hill will expand his role with graduate programs as he takes on the position of associate dean of graduate programs and research, starting Aug.16.
“In this new role, Matt will continue to oversee our graduate programs while also taking the lead in advancing and supporting research activity across the college. His thoughtful leadership and strategic approach will help elevate both the visibility and impact of our scholarly work,” according to Washam.
Those aren’t the only changes coming to NGCoB.
Dr. John Robertson served as an associate dean and most recently as interim chair of the Department of Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
Robertson will continue in his current role as associate dean but will shift his focus to undergraduate student engagement, recruitment and retention, areas that are essential to the college's long-term success.
“His dedication to fostering meaningful student experiences and strengthening our enrollment pipeline has been, and will continue to be, an incredible asset,” Washam added.
