Kristy Cox and Grasstime Take Over Bluegrass Monday on March 24
JONESBORO – Kristy Cox and Grasstime will perform a concert of bluegrass music at 7 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Collins Theatre, 120 West Emerson Street, in Paragould.
The concert is part of the Bluegrass Monday concert series presented by KASU 91.9 FM.
A native of Australia, Cox is known as “the Australian Queen of Bluegrass.” She has won seven Bluegrass Recording of the Year awards from the Country Music Awards of Australia. She was inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
Cox moved to Nashville in 2013, and in 2022, she became a dual citizen of the U.S. and Australia. She has released nine albums, two of which reached the #1 position on the Billboard Magazine Bluegrass Album chart. Currently recording for Billy Blue Records, she has also produced albums for the Pisgah Ridge and Mountain Fever record labels.
Her most recent album, Let It Burn, was nominated for the 2025 Album of the Year honor from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA). Cox was nominated for SPBGMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year award in 2024.
In her career, Cox has collaborated with numerous acclaimed and noteworthy bluegrass artists such as Jerry Salley, Bryan Sutton, Randy Kohrs, Alecia Nugent, Mike Bub, Darren Nicholson and Tommy Emmanuel.
Her band, Grasstime, features guitarist and vocalist Robbie Morris, banjo player Allan Sanders, bassist Cody Tinnin, mandolinist Jason Bailey and fiddler and vocalist Ellie Hakanson.

Tickets for the Bluegrass Monday concert are $10 per person, payable by cash at the door the night of the concert. Everyone 18 and under will be admitted free.
Tickets can also be purchased online at www.kasu.org/tickets. All ticket proceeds go to the musicians, compensating them for their performance.
Groups of eight or more may request reserved seating by contacting KASU’s Marty Scarbrough. The theatre doors open at 6 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served.
Acoustic musicians are welcome to participate in a bluegrass music jam session at 5 p.m. in the Joe Wessell Building adjacent to the Collins Theatre. Several seats in the theatre will be reserved for jammers and their guests so that they can play until the concert begins.
The Bluegrass Monday concert series is a non-profit presentation of KASU-FM, providing music fans with an affordable and outstanding evening of family-friendly entertainment. These concerts are held on the fourth Monday night of each month.
