Griffin College of Business Recognizes Top 2021-22 Graduates

JONESBORO – The most outstanding 2021-22 graduates of the Neil Griffin College of Business at Arkansas State University were recognized during Convocation of Scholars, according to Dr. Jim Washam, interim dean of the college.

Ellie Mayberry of Hensley received the Chancellor’s Scholar award as the graduating senior with the highest GPA in the college this academic year.  She and Hunter Hodges of Palestine, Jessica Bayouth of Little Rock, and Megan Atkins of Vilonia received the 4.0 Scholar Award. The Chancellor’s Scholar is the 4.0 student with the most credit hours.

The outstanding graduate awards are presented to the senior in each degree program who has most excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to the respective departments.

Those receiving departmental awards and their respective degree programs are: Anna Roemer of Bono, accounting; Megan Jared of Hardy, business administration; Hunter Hodges of Palestine, finance (financial management emphasis); Thomas Griggs of Wynne, finance (banking emphasis); Noah Haynes of Sherwood and Aaron Dent of Jonesboro, BA in economics; William Fogg of Forrest City, BS in economics; Will Scobey of Corning, economics with pre-law emphasis; and Blake Hegwood of Hot Springs, computer information technology.

Other departmental award winners are Austin Phelan of Trumann, business technology; Jana Jacobs of Benton, international business; Madison Munn of Jonesboro, management; Kristina De La Rosa of Jonesboro, management (human resources emphasis); Ellie Mayberry of Hensley, marketing; Fred Wood of Little Rock, marketing (sales leadership emphasis); Logan Mitchell of Sheridan, global supply chain management.

Graduate degree program award winners are Paulina Sobolewska of Poland, Master of Business Administration, and Allison Sammons of Jonesboro, Master of Accountancy.

Hunter Hodges of Palestine received the Talbert-Carrothers Deans Award, named in honor of two former deans of the college.

Convocation of Scholars continues at Arkansas State University through April.
