Funding and Growing Small Business is Focus for ASBTDC Free Programs in March

JONESBORO — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will offer opportunities in March for small businesses to learn about funding and growing their business. 

ASBTDC provides one-to-one confidential guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs. Primary areas of assistance include business planning, financial analysis, market research, loan packaging, growth and expansion, marketing, and profitability. 

The consulting sessions offer opportunities for business owners to meet with an ASBTDC business consultant.  
 
Sessions and classes will take place as follows: 

—Monday, March 3, Matt Lawless, market president for commercial banking at Bank OZK; Zach Owens, commercial banker for Bank OZK; and Matt Walton, banking center manager for Bank OZK, will lead the class, “Business Money Management Made Easy” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place in room 201 of the Delta Center for Economic Development, located at 319 University Loop. 

—Tuesday, March 11, Robert Bahn, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead consulting sessions from 9 a.m. to noon at the Trumann Chamber of Commerce, located at 825 AR-463. 
 
— Wednesday, March 12, Dylan McNally, supervisory recovery coordinator for region six of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will lead a disaster preparedness webinar from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. 

— Thursday, March 13, Laura Miller, ASBTDC director, will lead the class “Digital Marketing Playbook for Small Business” from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Cherokee Village at the Spring River Innovation Hub located at 7 East Cherokee Village Mall. 

— Wednesday, March 19, Destiny Adams, ASBTDC business consultant, will lead consulting sessions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce located at 109 Southwest Front St. in Walnut Ridge.

— Tuesday, March 25, Bahn will lead consulting sessions from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Paragould Generating Innovative Network, located at 208 North Pruett St.  

There are limited spots for consulting sessions.
