Concert Band and Symphonic Winds to Present Spring Concert, April 28

JONESBORO -- The Arkansas State University Concert Band and Symphonic Winds will present their Spring Concert on Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall. The Concert Band is under the direction of graduate music education student, Ben Light.

The Symphonic Winds is under the direction of Dr. Sarah Labovitz, associate director of bands/director of athletic bands, with guest graduate conductor, Daniel Harrelson. This concert is free and open to the public.

The program will include: “Overture for Winds” by Charles Carter, “Ere the World Began to Be” by Jack Stamp, “Short Stories” by Leonard Mark Lewis, “Amparito Roca” by Jaime Texidor, “Americans We” by Henry Fillmore, “Ammerland” by Jacob de Haan, “Strange Humors” by John Mackey and “Of Sailors and Whales” by Francis McBeth.
