Choir Students to Deliver Singing Valentines

02/05/2016

JONESBORO – Quartets from the Arkansas State University Concert Choir will deliver Singing Valentines on Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, to patrons within a 25-mile radius of Jonesboro.

This annual fundraising event will help support A-State Choirs’ study/performance tour to Ireland in March 2017.  “The Arkansas State University recognizes the educational value of travel for our students.  These tours provide the opportunity to better understand people and their cultures by studying their history through music, art, and architecture, and performing with their students,” commented Dr. Dale Miller, director of choral activities.

Patrons may select from the following songs: “Let Me Call You Sweetheart”, “I Can’t Give You Anything but Love,” “In the Still of the Night,”  “All My Lovin’,” “Love Me Tender,” “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Hello, Mary Lou”, and “When I Fall in Love.”

Singing Valentines must be ordered in advance by Thursday, Feb. 11, at noon.

The cost will be $25, and each additional song will be $15 each.  The Valentine songs will be delivered with a card and a carnation, and may be purchased from any participating A-State choir member or by calling 870-972-3841.
