ASBTDC to Begin June Tour to Offer Small Business Consultations

JONESBORO — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at Arkansas State University will visit four areas in Northeast Arkansas during the month of June to offer consultations to small businesses.

ASBTDC Center Director Laura Miller and Robert Bahn, business consultant, will present 30-minute small business consulting sessions throughout the month. The one-to-one confidential guidance to business owners and entrepreneurs includes business planning, financial analysis, market research, loan packaging, growth and expansion, marketing, and profitability.

Sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, June 8, at the Spring River Innovation Hub in Cherokee Village from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and at the Piggott Chamber of Commerce, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Thursday, June 10, at the Walnut Ridge Chamber of Commerce, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; and Wednesday, June 16, at the Black River Technical College continuing education building in Pocahontas, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Miller will lead the Cherokee Village and Pocahontas events and Bahn will conduct the sessions in Piggott and Walnut Ridge.

There is no charge for the sessions, but appointments are required. Call 870-972-3517 to schedule an appointment.

The sessions are made possible by co-sponsorships from FNBC, NEA Intermodal Authority, East Arkansas Planning and Development District, First Community Bank, First Security Bank, Simmons Bank, and The Solutions Group.
