A-State's Family Weekend 2019 Runs Friday thru Sunday

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University's Family Weekend starts Friday and continues through Sunday, Sept. 21-23.

One of the major activities will be a family picnic for all students and their families at the Chancellor's Residence, 1503 East Nettleton, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.  In addition to lunch, there will be several family fun activities and lots of giveaways for guests.

The Friday schedule includes free access to the Red WOLF Center throughout the day, and family movie night, featuring "Toy Story 4," starting at 7 in the Reng Student Union auditorium.

Activities Saturday begin early with the Regional Farmers Market opening at 7 a.m., followed by the Game Day 5K with Chancellor Kelly Damphousse at 8 a.m., starting from the Red Wolf Statue on Aggie Road.  The campus bookstore, Arkansas State University Museum, Bradbury Art Museum and the Red WOLF Center will be open during special hours.

Athletic events Saturday include rugby vs. Little Rock Men's Club at 1 p.m., and the Red Wolf Walk through First Community Bank Tailgate Community starting at 3:45.  The kickoff for the game with Southern Illinois is set for 6 p.m.

Acansa Dining Hall in the Student Union will open at 10:30 a.m. for Sunday brunch, and the Red WOLF Center will open for guests at noon.
