JONESBORO – Twenty-four students have been chosen for the Arkansas State University Chancellor’s Leadership Class (CLC) for the 2023-24 academic year. These exceptional students are selected for this honor after a competitive application process. Students chosen are those who are already actively working towards leadership roles on campus. Those selected are involved in programs such as Greek life, student life, athletics, academic departments, religious organizations, professional organizations, cultural organizations and the military.“In the application, they had to list their activities and involvement from freshman year and submit an essay on their leadership qualities, their interests and how they envision themselves leading at A-State in the future,” said Jennifer Salo, director of the Emerging Scholars Program. The leadership class is meeting weekly to work together on service-learning projects, hands-on skills development, and learn from influential guest speakers from campus and the community.Once they complete the one-year program, members of the CLC will have developed valuable skills and connections.Participating students with their major and hometown for the 2023-24 class are:
