How can I become a student?
The first step to becoming a student is to apply! Follow these steps to get started:
- Complete the online application.
- Pay $30 application fee.
- Submit official high school transcript.
- Submit official ACT/SAT scores.
- Submit proof of two immunizations for rubella, rubeola and mumps (MMR).

What can I study?
You can study most anything from accounting to zoology. A-State offers 172 different degrees, 57 minors, and more than 6,500 courses to choose from each year. Regardless of what you choose to study, you will be learning from some of the finest minds in the region. More than 85% of our faculty have earned the highest degree attainable in their field of study. And they are all committed to offering you personal attention, excellent advising and hands-on learning opportunities.

What will my life be like on campus?
Busy! Our students distinguish themselves by being very active on campus. Want to get involved? You’ll find more than 300 clubs and organizations to choose from. These organizations include student government, Greek Life, leadership groups, student publications, academic honor societies, religious organizations, community service groups, and ROTC programs.
If your classes and extracurricular activities don’t fill your schedule, and you are looking for additional activities on campus, you won’t have to go far to enjoy world-class entertainment. Between First National Bank Arena and the Fowler Center, A-State hosts more than 150 concerts and events each year.

Which sports does A-State participate in?
We have 16 D1 athletic programs -- both for men and women. These sports include: Men’s Teams: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track Women’s Teams: Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball.
We proudly support our Red Wolves! Whether fans paint their bodies, or scream at the top of their lungs, every sport has raucous and fervent supporters. Our fans embody #packpride, and welcome each new freshman class into this tradition.

What intramural sports can I play?
A-State offers more than intramural sports, from basketball to flag football, and from soccer to Esports! As a full-time student you also have FREE access to the Red WOLF Center, our campus recreation facility. It includes three basketball/volleyball courts, a MAC gym for indoor soccer/floor hockey/flag football, free weights, Olympic lifting platforms, a vast cardio theatre, a cycling studio, ping-pong tables and classrooms for dance, yoga, aerobics, and Zumba.

What is Jonesboro like?
Jonesboro is famous for its community spirit and friendly atmosphere. No matter where you’re from, you’ll be welcomed into our warm version of southern hospitality and charm.
With a population of more than 67,000, Jonesboro offers something for everyone: from the inner artist to the music buff; the foodie to the shopaholic; the outdoor enthusiast to the athlete. Jonesboro has 18 parks and community centers, a 15-screen movie theater, multiple sporting venues, and plenty of dancing and nightlife.

What kind of help can I get in my job search?
The professionals in Career Services are here to help you. You can take advantage of these resources beginning as early as your freshman year. We can help you tweak your resume, practice your interviewing skills, and identify the best prospective employment opportunities. We host several Career Fairs on our campus each year, and will gladly help you prepare to speak to potential employers at these fairs. More than 82% of students who register with Career Services secure a job at or shortly after graduation. Let us help you prepare for life after graduation, regardless of where that may take you!

We offer several types of campus visits, tailored to fit your needs. Our visits are very popular, so be sure to request your visit at least one week prior to visiting campus.
New Student Orientation (NSO) is a mandatory, 1/2 day program for admitted incoming freshmen. This program is designed to assist you in developing an understanding of the transition you will make to a collegiate environment and to enhance your success in college.
