Lawyers must be good researchers, strong orators, and logical thinkers. Together, these skills are vital to being a successful law student.

One thing to know when applying to law school: grades matter. That is why choosing a major that you will enjoy is important. A major that engages your interests will be a major that you perform well in.

Join the Pre-Law Club and participate in activities that provide insight and helpful preparation for Law School.

The Phelps & Womack Pre-Law Center comes equipped with a fully functioning coffee bar for those late nights studying and early morning exams.
The Phelps & Womack Pre-Law Center has a law library for members that includes Books on Law, LSAT prep, Legal specialties, movies on law, and more.
The Phelps & Womack Pre-Law Center has three brand new computers with printer access and up-to-date software for members to use for homework, studying, or whatever else they may need.

Community Volunteer Opportunities

When a Law school looks for students to best represent their next class, one of the first things they look for is a candidate's volunteer work. Having regular volunteer work shows a candidate's service ethic, leadership and teamwork, perseverance, and a commitment to a greater community, all of which make for a better lawyer. Because of this, the Pre-Law club seeks to regularly provide volunteer opportunities to interested students so that they may develop these skills and impress law schools.
