Young Chefs Academy

Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Let's learn how to cook! Do you always want to help in the kitchen?? Here's your opportunity to get to be the chef. You will learn to make different recipes that you will actually be able to make at home. Maybe you can cook dinner for your family one night!
Dream it, Build it, Wreck it, Repeat

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Children are naturally gifted at being creative. This will give them the opportunity to build objects, structures, vehicles and more by using LEGO pieces all while exploring the fundamentals of physics and engineering.
Mrs. Frizzle and the Magic School Bus

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Let's hop on the bus and shrink down to size to get an up close look at Mrs. Frizzles adventures! This camp will be inspired by the Magic School bus in order to learn about many different topics that make up the world we live in.

Tennis

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Improve tennis skills through focused instruction, practice, and match play. This a fun engaging camp for those who are beginners interested in tennis or want to improve their already developed skills.
Nailed It
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Does your child love the show “Nailed It” and wish they could be on it? Now is their chance to participate in a “Nailed It” style competition. Our young chefs will spend the four classes of this camp learning how to bake and decorate a variety of yummy treats and will compete in a “Nailed It” competition on the last day of camp. This will be a friendly competition!
I Love Reading!

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
In this camp, students will work to love reading. We will read all kinds of books, work on reading skills, and do activities that coordinate with the stories. Our goal is to help build your child's love for reading.
Tennis

Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Improve tennis skills through focused instruction, practice, and match play. This is a fun, engaging camp for those who are beginners interested in tennis or want to improve their already developed skills.
Fashionista Fun
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Does your future involve design, creativity, styling, modeling, or even sewing? Learn to sew in this camp! Each day create a new piece of clothing, design an outfit and create a design board showing your best works and your plans for the future. Learn to accessorize using supplies in the camp as you design your own jewelry and accessories. Each day, this great camp will include rules and challenges provided for the day. Teams will rise to the occasion and respond to the challenges. And, even individual challenges will be included in this camp. So join us and explore fashion trends, collaborate, design your own company and logo and hashtag...then have a fun runway show to culminate and celebrate your designs and creations.

Cooking up Brunch and Specialty Cookies

Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Cooking up Brunch - coffee cake, frittata, omelets, waffles, maple and brown-sugar bacon, and of course everyone LOVES those specialty cookies made with the fantastic cookie cutters and decorated to the max! Brunch is not complete without “specialty cookies”.

Become a JR Meteorologist and TV News Anchor
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Using our own local celebrities and experts from the field, campers will become meteorologists for the week and discover why our weather changes! Jr. Meteorologists will measure and record rainfall, create a water cycle wheel, build a weather station, learn about the Greenhouse Effect, create a terrarium, design their own tornadoes, create "snow" during the summer and more! Before you know it, Jr. Meteorologist will be on the 6 o'clock news doing the weather! In addition, campers will end the week demonstrating the three states of matter by making and eating some delicious ice cream. Throughout the week they will take home projects that include: sun prints, UV beads, a wind vane, anemometer, and a very cool rain stick! We will visit KAIT Meteorologists on the set and local News Anchors as well!

Cupcake Wars

Cupcake VS Cupcake! One of our most popular and delicious camps where students work in teams to compete and create beautiful cupcakes! Each day includes a lesson and a new skill that is incorporated into the cupcake challenges. Be ready to enjoy creative cupcakes all week long!
I’m Going to Disney!

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Are you a Disney fanatic as much as we are? Let’s do everything Disney! Movies, crafts, snacks, galore! This will be a fun-filled Disney week. Students will also learn some of the history behind disney and design their own theme park.
Backyard Campout
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Location: Education & Communications Building and Parking Lot
Each day will be a camp-out filled with all the activities needed for camping - pitching a tent, flashlight activities to use in the dark, a pretend camp fire with marshmallows and graham crackers, and of course, beanie-weenies and crackers! Create a sky full of stars easily seen without the bright city lights. Play with S'mores playdough. Of course, you will want to go fishing and beware of bears! And, whatever will we do without electronics? We will have so much fun during our camp week that you won't even miss your tablet and you will LOVE the camping books: Goodnight Campfire, Mama Llama Loves Camping, Over in the Forest, Scaredy Squirrel, S is for Snores, Ruby's Sleepover, Flashlight, Macy Goes Camping, Goodnight Campsite, A Camping Spree with Mr. Magee, Humphrey's Creepy- Crawly Camping Adventure, and -1, 2, 3, Make a S'more with Me
Arts Academy

The Arts Academy includes Photography, Painting, Collage and Montage, Mixed Media Extravaganza, Sculpting and Art with Found Objects.
Cheerleading Clinic
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ages: K - 6th Grade
Cheerleading coaches instruct students on motion, jumps, spirit, rhythm, health and fitness. Students enhance their abilities and learn basic cheerleading fundamentals geared toward individual skill levels.
Mad Scientist

Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
If becoming a Mad Scientist is your dream, then this is the camp for you! From building robots to launching rockets, students will indulge in many different science experiments while learning all about the processes of inventions along the way!
Data Science and AI

Ages: 3rd - 6th Grade
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are already all around us! Just think about robot vacuums, Siri, and Alexa. Your child will learn about the most innovative technologies of the future and have fun in our artificial intelligence camp. With this curriculum, your child will learn through hands-on projects and an engaging inquiry-based instruction method.
Arts Academy

Slime with a Twist

Ages: PreK - 2nd Grade
Who doesn't LOVE SLIME? This week you will make so many different types of slime you won't believe it! We have glitter slime, rainbow slime, creamy slime, smooth slime, gritty slime, sticky slime, foamy slime, and you wilt find out what happens when we mix slime with clay, play dough, baking soda and vinegar! Can you predict the outcome? We will do science experiments with slime, pretend with slime, mix colors with slime, count and stretch slime! Have fun exploring all types of slime during Slime Week!
Superhero Exploration

Calling all Super Heroes! Boys and Girls! During this week we will explore a variety of different Super Heroes and the way in which they help others. We will develop our own Super Hero Characters, Names, Costumes, and practice being Super Heroes!

Crime Scene Investigation - CSI

Location: Education & Communications Building and Parking Lot
Students will delve into the world of crime detection and forensic science. Kids will be developing their skills of observation and creative thinking, investigating the scene of a crime, analyze evidence and documents. They will be a Detective before you know it!
