Inclement Weather
Campus Closed Monday, Jan. 26
Due to hazardous driving conditions from recent winter precipitation, Arkansas State University's academic and business offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.
While regular business offices are not open, the campus continues to operate. Essential personnel who maintain on-campus activities, including University Housing, Dining Services and Facilities Management, will report to work. Employees who are uncertain about their status as “essential personnel” are encouraged to check with their supervisor.
Full-time employees who track working hours can submit their time as “Authorized Leave.”
The Office of Safety & Emergency Management has assembled a Linktree with helpful winter resources for campus.
Revised Facility Hours
- Acansa Dining Hall will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.
(Brunch: 10:30 – 2 p.m. / Grill, Pizza, Salad: 2 – 4 p.m. / Dinner: 4 – 7 p.m.) - Additional Dining Retail: Starbucks: 8 - 3 p.m., Howl’s: 8 – 4:30 p.m., Godfathers: 11 – 4:30 p.m.
- The Dean B. Ellis Library will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
- The Reng Student Union will open for on-campus student use at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
- The Red WOLF Center will be closed.

Inclement Weather Policy
Face-to-Face Courses
All face-to-face classes are canceled when the university is closed due to inclement weather. Face-to-face courses cannot be shifted to online due to inclement weather.
Online Instruction
During times of university closure, online courses continue as usual. In the event of power or connectivity issues, faculty should be prepared to allow extra time as necessary for online coursework.
