Through this exhibition, participants are exposed to the work of contemporary artists as well as given an early glimpse into the process of exhibiting their own art in a professional setting.
This year, students were inspired by “People/Places/Things,” an exhibition exploring the concept of realism. The juror for “Inspired 8” was Stephanie H. Shih, a professional artist whose work was included within “People/Places/Things.”
BAM displayed the awards on tags next to the awarded works. Included in the exhibition are 50 works by students from 10 area schools.
Bradbury Art Museum is in Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr. Admission is free. The exhibition continues through Wednesday, Feb. 8. Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
