Beck Center for Veterans to Host Fourth Annual ‘Run to Remember’
JONESBORO – The Beck Center for Veterans at Arkansas State University will host its fourth annual “Run to Remember” from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 23.
“Run to Remember is an annual 5K honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s
veterans. Join us as we come together in remembrance and support of the veteran community,”
said Jana Haskins, director of the Beck Center.
This event is held each year near Memorial Day and honors fallen service members while
supporting veterans who carry the legacy forward.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. for the race, which begins at 8 a.m. at the Lt.
Col. Frederick C. Turner Jr. Military Science Building, located at 1915 Aggie Rd.
“Participants include veterans, students, faculty, staff and community members from
across the region,” Haskins added.
This race is open to anyone who would like to participate. Registration for the race
includes a race shirt, finisher medal and professional timing.
“Proceeds from the event support non-Veterans Administration services at The Beck
Center for Veterans, including transition support, education and benefits navigation,
wellness programming, and food security initiatives,” Haskins continued.
Awards will follow the race, with prizes for top finishers in each age division. More
