JONESBORO – Arkansas State University students will continue moving in to campus housing this weekend in the midst of safety and precautionary adjustments made necessary by the pandemic.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, physical distancing and face coverings are required during move-in and at all in-person events. Also, community volunteers will not be able to assist with the move-in this year.

Residence Life will be open all day Saturday, Aug. 22. Several offices will be open from 9 a.m. until noon, including Registrar, Treasurer, Financial Aid, Parking Services, Wilson Advising Center and Campus Card Center.

Student service offices also will be open Monday-Friday during their normal operating hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., for the convenience of students and their families who need to meet with staff.

A change this year replaces the previous First-Year Convocation with college open houses. First-year students will participate in virtual format open houses Monday from 10-11 a.m. as the academic community welcomes the newest class of learners.

Fall semester classes will start Tuesday, Aug. 25.
