About Dr. Lance G. Bryant
Dr. Lance G. Bryant currently serves as a professor and program coordinator of sport management in the Department of Kinesiology at Arkansas State University, where he has been a faculty member since 2007. With a career spanning over two decades in higher education, Dr. Bryant is recognized for his contributions to teaching, research, and academic administration.
Dr. Bryant earned his Doctor of Philosophy in sport pedagogy from the University of Alabama in 2007 and his research interests reflect his commitment to inclusion, global sport perceptions and excellence in pedagogy. He also holds a Master of Science in sport administration (1998) and a Bachelor of Science in physical education (1994) from Mississippi State University.
From 2016 to 2024, Dr. Bryant served as associate dean for the College of Education and Behavioral Science, where he provided strategic leadership in assessment and accreditation, governance, and student-faculty engagement. His previous administrative duties have also included serving as the chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Sport Sciences.
At Arkansas State University, Dr. Bryant has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in both sport management and pedagogy. He continues to be a strong advocate for student-centered learning, faculty development, and interdisciplinary collaboration in sport management and physical education. His leadership and dedication to the field make him a respected figure in both academic and professional communities.
