About Kate Warren
Kate Warren is an internationally acclaimed hornist and music educator. She is the full-time Instructor of Horn at Arkansas State University, the principal horn for the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and currently serves as an elected member of the Advisory Council for the International Horn Society. She has toured with internationally acclaimed chamber ensembles including the Dallas Brass and the Emmy and Tony award winning Broadway show Blast!; appeared as a concert soloist at Yale and Florida State University; and been the featured guest artist at workshops including the 2026 Florida French Horn Festival and 2025 Horn Fest at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Prior to these appointment she served as a College Lecturer in Music at Ocean County College and was the 2023 Yaffe Post-Graduate Teaching Fellow for the Yale School of Music's Music in Schools Initiative.
Kate is a TonalEnergy Teaching Artist and is passionate about creating resources for music students, working extensively within social media to promote music and music education through her instagram page @katewarrenmusic. Kate has published two technique books, the Kate Warren French Horn Routine and 3 Week Fundamentals Boot Camp, and worked with Conn & Selmer and SmartMusic to develop and record a comprehensive beginner french horn curriculum. Kate is an in-demand lecturer and researcher, regularly presenting on entrepreneurship and social media.
