About Dr. Jason Stewart

Dr. Jason Stewart began teaching at A-State in 1998 with a focus on Agricultural Engineering. He has served in numerous roles since then and is now the Director of Accreditation for the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CoECS). His teaching interests are now focused on the Civil Engineering program. Dr. Stewart is the faculty advisor for the American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter as well as the A-State Shooting Sports Club. Dr. Stewart is the chair of the CoECS Curriculum Committee and serves on the university Undergraduate Curriculum Committee.

Summary

Dr. Stewart's research interests are in civil engineering materials broadly. Responsible plastics recycling in civil engineering and infrastructure is a particular interest. He has ongoing research with recycled plastics in military railroad infrastructure. Dr. Stewart is also currently involved with research in infrastructure resiliency.
