About Dr. Amy Hyman
Dr. Amy Hyman is an Associate Professor in the Health Sciences and Risk Management
Department. Prior to joining Arkansas State University in 2018, she worked with the
Arkansas Division of Emergency Management serving in several roles. Dr. Hyman received
her Doctor of Science in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University.
Her research interests lie in risk and crisis communication, individuals' behaviors
during natural hazard events, virtual reality, and personal preparedness.
