Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Red W.O.L.F. Center! I love how students are able to come together in this facility to have fun together through many different physically active events, like our numerous intramural sports, rock climbing wall and different fitness classes that are offered.
Favorite Campus Event: Pack Preview Day is my favorite campus event because I enjoy seeing the excitement in all of the prospective students’ eyes as they discover everything that A-State has to offer. They learn about the different ways they can be involved in campus life and the various opportunities available to them in order to make their howl heard in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the United States, and around the world.
Free Time Activities: In my free time I enjoy listening to music, creating art, biking, playing sports, binging Netflix and traveling around the world to learn more about previous and existing cultures. Anything that puts me out in nature is always enticing and full of life, so I never miss an experience to be out and seeing this amazing planet.
Favorite Place to Eat in Jonesboro: Shadrach’s Coffee is my go-to, without a doubt. I am an avid coffee drinker and lover of caffeine so any chance I have to drive through and pick up a cup, I’m there. Also, many businesses in Jonesboro, including Shadrach’s, offer discounts to Arkansas State University students. It will come in handy when you’re having to stay awake to study for that test or write that paper you want to do well on.
Most Interesting Class You Took in College: I would have to say I enjoyed my General Psychology class most. It’s interesting to me how different people think based on their interests, backgrounds and biological makeup. Sometimes I don’t always understand what or how I’m feeling, but General Psychology helped to explain why people think and feel the way they do.
#1 Piece of Advice for Prospective Students: Get involved with campus life. When you go to a college, like Arkansas State University, there are all sorts of clubs and organizations that you can be a part of, and without those interactions outside of classroom the college experience can sometimes feel like it’s missing something.
