Where are you from? Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Why did you choose to study at A-State? I incidentally came to know A-State through my agency. The school has a proud academic record in America. Moreover, the school has many incentives for international students, especially international students from Vietnam. Currently, I am a freshman in Marketing, and I am very happy that I am one of the members of the A-State community.
What were you hoping to gain from joining our English as a Second Language program? I hoped I could improve my English a lot when joining the ESL program, especially listening and reading skills. Currently, I am a freshman in Marketing, and I feel that my English skills have taken a huge step forward. If you met me in the early days of 2020 and then again now, you might be very surprised at my current English skills.
What do you believe is the best part of our English Learning Academy? One thing I really like about the ESL program is that you don't just study regular academic English like any other English course. Here, you also learn a lot of soft skills that help you succeed when studying at all universities in the U.S., such as presentation skills, computer typing skills, reading skills, writing response skills. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest features of this program.
Why would you recommend A-State’s English Learning Academy to others? As an international student who studied abroad and participated in many English courses before (nearly 10 different courses), yes, I would recommend this program. For me, the ESL program at A-State is one of the best courses I have ever taken. The enthusiastic and friendly teachers are always ready to help me during my studies. An interesting point is that when taking English classes here, you will be using advanced learning software all of the time. As I mentioned above, you will learn a lot of useful soft skills while participating in ESL program. And more, you can use A-State's main library when learning English here.
